The Senior footballers of Presentation Secondary School, Wexford have progressed into the quarter-finals of the Leinster Post-Primary competition after two well-fought and well-earned victories in the group stage of the competition.
The first match was away to FCJ, Bunclody. These matches have proven to be highly entertaining affairs over the last number of years and this match was no different. Presentation deservedly emerged victorious by 4 points at the end of the game, on a score-line of 3-11 to 4-4.
The second game was at home to Ramsgrange Community School. In the end, this proved to be a very close affair. Presentation were comfortably ahead at half-time but Ramsgrange rallied and put in a very spirited second-half display but Presentation emerged victorious by a single point.
Presentation Secondary School, Wexford now have a home quarter-final against the runners-up of the Laois/Offaly group. We await word from the Leinster Council on who the opponents will be.
Training continues on Tuesday lunchtimes and after-school, on Thursdays with Mr Rolston, Miss Barry and Mr O'Tuairisg.
