Carlow IT have transferred their Architecture and Graphic Design Departments to Wexford Campus together with a wall-to-wall Apple Mac Suite on the top floor of the old seminary.  On Monday and Tuesday 16/17th of October they invited the five secondary schools of the town to view the facility and gave a half-day workshop on Graphics and using the facility.  Graphic design is the pratice or profession of designing print or electronic forms of visual information for advertisements, publication or websites.

In conjuction with the opening of the facility they asked Wexford Opera Festival to sponsor prizes to potential students.

Using new software like Adobe Photoshop 2010 our students achieved good results by the end of the day.  Carlow IT and Wexford Opera are presenting first and second prizes on Friday the 28th October to two of our graphically talented students:
Billie Jean Doheny
Abbie Nolan
They will receive their prizes in the Opera House in a ceremony today.
